Sandakan Cultural Carnival

The Sandakan Cultural Carnival highlights the various aspects of Sandakan''s many ethnic groups through a variety of cultural performances, traditional costumes, mock wedding displays, kenduri adapt (cultural feast), sale and exhibition of handcraft. Visitors can also sample traditional fare and have a go at some traditional sports. The Carnival aims to promote Sandakan as a tourism destination, rich in culture and heritage. A great opportunity to see Sandakan''s many ethnic groups and their traditions in full splendour.
